PMC, Lump Form

What do you do about clay that is getting “cracky”? How do you revive clay that is no longer working well? How to you extend your working time, especially when extruding?

The answer to all these questions is to use PMC Extender Liquid from PMC Tool and Supply.com.

Here’s how to use it: take your dry-ish lump of clay and put it into a small piece of Saran Wrap. Add one to two drops of PMC Extender Liquid. Now, through the Saran Wrap, not touching the clay at all with your fingers, knead the Extender Liquid into the clay. Wrap tightly and set aside for 10 to 30 minutes, to allow time for the liquid to absorb into the clay.

Adding Extender Liquid to your clay before you extrude it or roll it into a coil, helps prevent those cracks that always seem to occur when extruding.
