While most of us wait for our orders of BronzClay, we can read up on the various patinas for bronze. This book, Japanese Patinas by Eitoku Sugimori has unusual (at least in the US) recipes for patinas for a wide range of metals, and it’s also a lovely book, with gorgeous line drawings.

I don’t have a copy with me to check if the author specifically covers bronze, but I will write to the publisher and ask. Even if it doesn’t, it’s a handy book to own.

This book, The Colouring, Bronzing and Patination of Metals by Richard Hughes, Michael Rowe is the grandpappy of patina books; it’s huge, comprehensive and loaded with color plates.
